ZAMI NOBLA (National Organization of Black Lesbians on Aging) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a growing national presence. We build power and community for Black lesbians aged 40 and older. We have state chapters in North Carolina and Georgia, and national members.
Our work promotes conscious aging and directly challenges ageism. We also fight all forms of oppression—homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, classism, and xenophobia. We connect through education, advocacy, the arts, social events, community programs, and research.
